Each summer, outstanding local, regional, and national bluegrass acts converge on the Podunk Stages and deliver an awesome festival experience. Podunk Bluegrass is proudly presented by the members of the Podunk Bluegrass Music Festival Inc. Board of Directors. It is held annually on the second full weekend of August in Goshen, CT.

There is camping available on-site, with or without hookups, or you can purchase a day ticket. There will be a series of free workshops, traditional crafts, storytelling, jam sessions, and a great variety of food available. They also will offer a children’s activity area and a kids’ academy.

Podunk Bluegrass Music Festival Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All contributions, less benefits of a certain value, are fully tax-deductible in accordance with the law (Tax ID #06-1457866).

Stoner & Doom Festival

Perhaps one of the most popular music festivals on our list for Connecticut, the Stoner & Doom Festival is a 3-day festival taking place in Jewett Cty, Connecticut. The scene is heavy metal so if you’re not a metalhead, this is not for you!

Meriden Daffodil Festival

The Meriden Daffodil Festival is a Connecticut favorite. As the unofficial kick-off to the festival season, this event is held at Hubbard Park in Meriden, Connecticut in April for 2-days, featuring some of the state’s best local and nationwide country music and folk music acts.

Elm City Folk Festival

Just as the name says, the Elm City Folk Festival is a folk music festival taking place in New Haven, Connecticut. For 2 days in the month of May, New Haven is serving you up some of the state’s best Americana music acts!

Locapalooza

Locapalooza is a 1-day music festival held every May in Bethany, Connecticut. The festival celebrates some of the best local acts in the city and region. Here you’ll find a variety of genres, from folk, indie, funk to rock.

Sea Music Festival

To conclude our list for Connecticut, we chose the Sea Music Festival. This is a 4-day celebration in Mystic, Connecticut. Each June, locals, and visitors are treated to over 2 dozen different nationwide known musical acts spanning each genre.
