Where’s It’s At, And where Do I Stay?
Ultra Music Festival is located at Bayfront Park in Miami, Florida. It takes place between the dates of March 20th-22nd. These are some of the most perfect dates for the festival!
Why? These dates also align with Miami Music Week. Miami Music Week is a variety of concerts and parties that take place all throughout Miami.
When you’re not down at Bayfront Park enjoying UMF, be sure to hit up some of the other amazing concerts and parties going on in the area.
Accommodations
There are several great Miami hotels to choose from in the area. It’s best to look up the location of the festival and then browse through hotels in the area online. This is a great way to make sure you find a room suitable for your needs.
For example, will you need a smoking room or one with a balcony? Here are some good options to get you started.
- The Miami Beach EDITION
- Lowes Miami Beach Hotel
- 1 Hotel South Beach
All of these options are close by (less than 30 mins) and also have their own excitement going on at the hotel as well!
How Do I Get There?
Before you can plan your trip, you’ll need to purchase your tickets. Tickets can be found on the UMF website. After purchasing your tickets, you can then plan your travel route.
Bayfront Park is located at: 301 N Biscayne Boulevard, Miami.
If you’re traveling from out of state, then you’ll want to jump into an Uber or Lyft from the airport and make your way over to your hotel or straight to the festival! If you plan to spend most of your time there at the festival, the hotel, and the surrounding areas, then you won’t need to rent a vehicle.
Taking rideshares to get you from place to place is an excellent idea because this means you won’t have to worry about driving under the influence. Even if you drive your car to the hotel, do be sure to consider spending the rest of the trip taking a rideshare vehicle. You also won’t have to worry about parking (parking is about $20).
You can also consider taking the Metrorail, Tri-Rail, or Metromover.
What Genre of Music Can I Expect?
Artists for the festival’s lineup aren’t announced until the festival is approaching. However, the types of music you can expect to hear at this festival is electronica, experimental music, hip hop music, or more simply put dance music! Come prepared to dance.
You might find some music favorites such as Flume, plus a few surprise guests. You never know what UMF has to offer each year so prepare for the unexpected!
What’s Security Like, and How Do I Stay Safe?
Upon entry, you’ll need to show security a form of ID and your wristband. The wristband will be scanned before entering the festival. Prepare to be searched as well.
Security will check bags to ensure no unsafe items are brought in. Clear, small plastic bags are best. Your bag shouldn’t exceed 13”x17”.
Stay safe by following all of the festival’s rules regarding what’s allowed and what’s not. If you suspect anything foul play, then you can always report it to security. Keep in mind, you’ll want to protect yourself from weather elements as well.
