Grand Old Day

The Grand Old Day is the largest one-day festival in Minnesota. It is a street festival held annually for over 40 years along Grand Avenue in St Paul to mark the beginning of summer. It draws over a hundred thousand people each year. There are usually 7 music stages each featuring different genres of music as well as food carts, beer gardens, exhibitions and demonstrations.

Festival Line-up: Local bands and musicians such as Charlie Parr, The Cactus Blossoms, White Iron Band, and Dead Man Winter.

Twin Cities Summerjam

This is an annual rock, pop, and country music concert held annually at Canterbury Park in Shakopee. The event is usually held over three days but there are options to buy single-day tickets. TC Summerjam draws some of the best performers in the world so tickets cost between $149-$249. The costlier VIP tickets do come with a dinner buffet.

Minneapolis Aquatennial

The Minneapolis Aquatennial is an annual festival and parade that attracts over 800,000 people each year. It celebrates the city’s lakes streams and rivers and is dubbed the best Days Of Summer and takes place over four days in July. The festival has been held since 1940 and attractions include a torchlight parade, water skiing show and fireworks over the Mississippi River.

WE Fest

WE Fest is an annual country music festival held in Detroit Lakes Minnesota. The festival is over 37 years old and takes place over 3 days in August. Be festival prepared for the largest country festival in America and a must-attend for country music lovers.

Where: Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota

Wild Waters

The wild waters is a one-day music festival that is put on by Save the Boundary Waters foundation. The event costs $33 but portions of the profits go towards the preservation group Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness. The concert happens at night and revelers are welcome to camp overnight at the location.
