Lifest; Oshkosh
Lifest is the nation’s largest Christian music festival and so far, it’s been held year after year for over two decades. Each occurrence of this event includes over one hundred musical acts on seven stages who hail from locations not only all over the United States but from all over the world.
In addition to plentiful musical performances, this festival also includes speakers, workshops, and plenty of family-friendly events your kids will just love. It’s fun for all and all are welcome.
Summerfest; Milwaukee
You may have heard of Milwaukee’s Summerfest before because it’s truly gigantic. This festival takes place over eleven days each summer in downtown Milwaukee and is attended by approximately 800,000 people every year, who flock to see some of its over five hundred acts and a few of its nearly a thousand different musical performances. Major artists who have headlined the festival in the past include Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Steve Wonder, Kenny Chesney, to name a few.
It’s no wonder this festival bills itself as “The World’s Largest Music Festival” after being certified as such by the Guinness Book of World Records in 1999. In addition to music, this festival showcases local Wisconsin foods and restaurants, vendors, fireworks, and family events. Everyone should attend Summerfest at least once in their lives.
Los Dells; Mauston
You might not imagine that the nation’s largest Latin music and arts festival in the United States would happen in Wisconsin, but it’s true! Los Dells began in 2017 and features art installations and great food in addition to national and international acts in the Latin music genre.
Country Fest; Cadott
If you like country, then you should check out Wisconsin’s Country Fest which began back in 1987 and which has been quite popular ever since. Like all of the Wisconsin festivals listed above, this is another large-scale festival, but this one’s focus is on country music, and it attracts big names like Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Reba McEntire, Sugarland, Little Big Town, and more. In fact, just like Los Dells, Summer Fest, and Lifest, it’s the biggest festival of its kind in the United States.
Attendees can camp at Country Fest in any of the 7,000 campsites that surround the concert grounds; the venue overall covers 380-acres. It’s held over three days at the end of June each year.
Rock USA; Oshkosh
Rock USA takes place in the same city as Lifest above, but it’s a very different scene that attracts rather different fans. This festival offers camping and three days of music on the grounds of the 300-acre Ford Festival Park and caters to hard rock fans. Past performers have included Marilyn Manson, Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie, and others in the hard rock genre.
