Float Fest: Bassnectar, Tame Impala, & More in TX

We’re gearing up for another FSG First! Float Fest is held in Martindale, Texas.

This little town is located about an hour south of Austin & about an hour north of San Antonio. The location of the fest makes it possible to pick how you spend your evenings. You can stay in either of the bustling cities and ride a daily shuttle, or you can spend the weekend on site and camp by the river. Despite the fest being in the middle of Texas, in the middle of July, fans will find retreat from the summer sun in the river! We’ve got the full breakdown of the fest below:

The lineup is small but MIGHTY! One really cool aspect of the fest is that there are no overlapping sets. So, you can literally see every great artist on the lineup. With headliners, Bassnectar and Tame Impala, it almost doesn’t matter what the rest of the lineup is….but it really is great throughout. Each day is a mix of electronic, indie, and hip hop artists, with music beginning at 2pm. The lineup is definitely geared to a younger crowd but the mature music fan will find the lack of “mainstream” artists appealing.

Tubing happens during the day (8am – 5pm). You must purchase a pass, which covers your shuttle ride and tube cost. The shuttle takes you up the river and you simply tube back down to the festival site. Pretty simple!
