Festival season is starting earlier each year, and one of the first ones hitting the West Coast this season is Lucidity Festival in Santa Barbara, California, Aril 12th-14th. Lucidity is three-day festival, which still has a few tickets left for their second year of a six-year plan, . Last year was a great time and ran exceptionally well, and I know I am excited for this years festivities. This year, Lucidity’s line up includes great electronic and live musical acts including: Phutureprimitive, Zion I, ill.Gates and Liberation Movement (Heavy Weight Dub Champion), as well as tons of workshops including some in Yoga, Sustainability and Healing.
Located about a half an hour outside of the city of SB, set between the San Raphael and Santa Ynez Mountains, Live Oak Campground is a beautiful place for a festival with tons of tree shade and grass. Camping is included, and car camping was available for an additional cost, but has now sold out. Regular camping will require you to haul your own gear in, although it is a very doable treck. Regular 3-day camping arrivals will begin at 8am Friday morning, and everyone must stop at the box office for a wristband. Everyone! So don’t forget! The box office will be open until midnight, and if you arrive when the box office is closed, you will not be allowed in, so plan accordingly.
No open flames! No charcoal grills but propane grills are permitted if you want to do some cooking at your camp. Lucidity is having food vendors who are local, all organic, sustainable options by Sol Food, to give affordable, healthy options for those who choose not to cook. They will also be having a local Farmers Market to buy some tasty fruits and veggies at as well. Filtered mineral water will be available free of charge.
Awesome merchant vending is also in the plan for those who want to do some shopping for some handmade festival gear as well as little trinkets to remember your weekend by. They have also booked tons of healers to help you out on your body’s wellbeing if you would like any of the services they offer including massage, reiki, and sound healing. The healers are working on donations so it can be available for all festival attendees.
You will receive a map of the festival grounds on a reusable bandana to help eliminate waste.
