Heading Back to LOCKN?

LOCKN’ is a special festival. Simply put, it is unique in schedule, location, and lineup.

The music schedule has ZERO overlapping sets. That’s right…you’ll get to see every artist off that beautiful lineup, which made you say “I have to go this year”. This feat in scheduling is possible because of the side-by-side stage layout. Essentially, you can stand in the same place (back middle-ish) and see every band throughout the weekend! It’s also possible for the festival to run this way because organizers have really done the research and honed in on the right artists to book, knowing everyone will appreciate them & ultimately buy tickets to see them.

The location of LOCKN’ is literally unique to the festival community because Infinity Downs, in Arrington, VA is home to only a handful of events every year. And come to think of it, there’s not a ton of nationally known festivals in Virginia at all. The grounds offer rolling green hills & dirt paths, surrounded by a forrest. It’s breathtaking in the morning, watching the moister from the ground rise into the atmosphere. Definitely take a few minutes each day to take in the eastern surroundings.

Finally, and this is pretty self explanatory, the lineup of LOCKN’ is incredibly unique. The list of bands stands out agains all other festivals of the same size and magnitude. Organizers have managed to create a rather niche festival, while still being widely popular. This year’s lineup features a headliner that’s been rumored to take on the festival, since its inception. Before Dead & Company played at Soldier Field, rumors were going around that they would headline a massive jam fest in Virginia. Well, that didn’t happen but here we are in 2018, with 2 sets of Dead & Co. to end the fest on Sunday night! The rest of the lineup boasts the typical jam to funk to blue grass LOCKN’ fans have come to expect, while still pulling in new faces.

That’s what makes LOCKN’ unique and different from your average festival but here’s some useful details to make sure YOUR LOCKN’ is a success!
