Ready to Hangout in 2016?
The time has come! Get your bathing suits, shades and party pants ready for another amazing weekend at Hangout Music Festival!
There’s one more thing you will need to bring this year, however, your rain gear. Let’s take a look at this weekend’s forecast for Gulf Shores, AL.
Have no fear, the festival will keep on truckin’ rain or shine! By Saturday afternoon there should be nothing but plenty of sunshine to welcome all the incredible acts the rest of the weekend.
Which brings me to the next important point: The Schedule! SO MANY incredible artists are bringing it this weekend. I, for one, am beyond excited to see Leon Bridges, Florence + The Machine, Alabama Shakes, The Weeknd, Big Grams, the list goes on! You can personalize your own schedule HERE or via the 2016 APP. Plus, if there are any changes, this will be the most up-to-date schedule available!
Don’t. Forget. Your. Wristband. At. Home!! They are “nontransferable, non-exchangable and cannot be replaced.” Single day tickets are not available so a lost wristband is a big NO NO.
Speaking of losing things, there will be a lost and found at the Hangout Info Booth. You can also email lostandfound@hangoutmusicfest.com to inquire about your item. Be sure to include the type, brand, color and any additional information you can provide to identify them.
There will also be a medical tent should you need it, and always always seek out help from a festival staff member, officer, or medical assistant if need be.
Here is a map of the festival to find that medical tent, info booth, and everything in between!
Although you do need your rain gear, don’t forget to pack your sunscreen! It will be a hot one, and you don’t want to leave with a sun burn along with of all the wonderful memories. Make sure to also bring a refillable water container (less than 2 liters in size). Water stations will be set up around the festival for you to fill up your bottles or CamelBaks. Here are the guidelines posted by Hangout for CamelBak:
* Guidelines for CamelBak style hydration systems: Although CamelBak style water bladder systems are allowed EMPTY into the venue, the water bladders themselves must be capable of being removed from the carrier and must be transparent enough to allow security to visually inspect the empty bladder. Additionally, CamelBak style bladder carriers must have no more than two main compartments and one small compartment. Any CamelBak style water bladder that cannot be removed from the carrier and/or is opaque enough to prevent visual inspection, and any CamelBak style bladder carriers larger than the permitted size will not be allowed into the venue.
Your book-bag must be smaller as well. You may want to bring a hat, blanket or beach towel to sit on between acts or around the festival site. Things can get lost in the sand, though, so make sure to check your area when moving around for left cell phones, sunglasses, etc.
No tents or umbrellas. No kites. No glowsticks. No refillable vaper or electronic cigarettes. No water guns or water balloons. No glass. No outside food or beverage. No skateboards, bikes, etc. No fireworks, Chinese lanterns, etc. No coolers. No video equipment of any kind (including personal camcorders and GoPros). No professional photo equipment (DSLR cameras, detachable/removable lens cameras). No flags and/or flagpoles. No selfie sticks. No hammocks.
Whew, that wasn’t fun. But those are the main things listed that you should make sure not to bring to the festival. Lockers will be available at the festival, and you can reserve yours HERE!
